Attractions in and around Lancaster and Morecambe
The Lancaster and Morecambe Bay area offers an array of differing experiences and sights. Rolling hills to the east offer spectacular scenery, from the Crook'O'Lune , made famous by the artist Turner to the trough of Bowland with it's rolling hills and and pretty villages.
Historic Lancaster's splendid stone facades hark back to it's heyday as a Georgian port, independent shops, well known stores, museums, castle, parks and monuments are enjoyed by old and new.
The spectacular bay of Morecambe, with it's wide open skies and panoramic sea-scape is preparing for a renewed future. The promenade and seafront plays host to a variety of artwork from a statue of Eric Morecambe to a 'flock of words'. The Midland Hotel sitting on the seafront offers a perfect base from which to explore.
