Arrive early, beat the traffic and start your festive break. Relax in the lounges with open roaring fires and spend the rest of your day at leisure, then join us for a scrumptious dinner in the Windermere Restaurant.
(4 Night Break Starts)
Arrive from 3pm onwards with a traditional Afternoon Tea served throughout our comfy lounges with open fires and views over Lake Windermere. The Lakes Hand Bell Ringers will perform between 4.30pm and 5pm.
From 6.30pm dinner is served in the Windermere Restaurant surrounded by the contrast of vibrant artwork and traditional English oak wall panelling, not to mention its stunning outlook onto Lake Windermere and striking mountain ranges.
(3 Night Break Starts)
For those already in house, breakfast is available in our stunning Windermere Restaurant with its Lakeland views, we will then leave you to enjoy your morning at leisure.
Afternoon Tea is served in the Lake Suite for all, accompanied by a glass of Champagne during a traditional game of bingo and other popular quiz games, hosted once again by Nevil, our General Manager, always a treat before gathering to see the real reindeer.
For the children the excitement is building, follow Santa on GPS at Reception, sprinkle reindeer sparkles to help Santa find his way, then join us in the lounge for hot chocolate and festive story time before getting ready for dinner.
Dinner this evening is served from 6.30pm through to 9pm in our Windermere Restaurant with a pre-dinner glass of Champagne and canapés served in our Langdale Lounge & Bar to the accompaniment of our house pianist.
For those wishing to attend Midnight Mass, a warming glass of mulled wine awaits you on your return prior to retiring to bed ready for the big day ahead – transport is not provided for this service.
Bucks Fizz Breakfast is served from 8am and traditional stockings provided with many treats for all the children. We have already booked Santa to appear in person with his friend Sam the Dog who will guide everyone up to the Gallery Giant Christmas tree where Santa will have gifts for all the children, providing they have been good of course, before heading downstairs for Christmas Day Lunch.
The Windermere Restaurant plays host to Christmas Day Lunch served between 12.30 and 2.00pm with all the trimmings – be aware this can be a noisy affair full of party poppers and festive cheer.
The Queen will address the nation this afternoon and a slice of Christmas cake accompanied by a fresh cup of tea will be served to all.
Buffet dinner is served this evening in the Lake Suite accompanied by a glass of wine and top up. Then it’s on to our famous casino tables and Low Wood Bay Grand National races, with prizes to be won from weekend breaks to Champagne and wine.
Enjoy a hearty Lakeland breakfast, and then enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, we have provided various day trips for you to choose from or simply take in the sights of Windermere on one of our chartered Lake Cruises.
Today we have organised either a private charter on Lake Windermere with hot beverages and mince pies, or alternatively you can join us on our private mini coaches to various local villages, sights and attractions – further details to follow.
Bar meals are available today, but not included within the overall Christmas Package.
From 7pm Champagne and Canapés with music from our house pianist will flow as we reach the grand finale of our Christmas house party at our Black Tie Boxing Night Gala Dinner. The stunning gala dinner menu will be followed by music and dancing for all the family from our House Band and DJ.
* Black Tie Boxing Gala Dinner tables will be formal banquet style of 8 or more, dependent on party size.

- children 4 – 12 years sharing a room with two full paying adults are charged at 50% of adult rate.
- 13 years and above are charged at full adult price.

Dogs are very welcome to join us for the festive period at a charge of £60.00 per dog per stay, although restrictions do apply on where they can go in the hotel. It is essential we are informed if you wish to bring your dog for Christmas, Santa visits dogs too!
