    1930s Country House Murder Mystery

    Friday 21st June 2013 - RESTRICTED VIEW SEATING ONLY

    It’s Murder by Death as 5 of the world’s greatest detectives get trapped in a secluded country house and have to solve a mystery to save their reputations…and lives! After Dark’s Agatha Christie style parody brings all the aspects of a thirties murder and turns it on its head to present a manic mystery where the butler definitely didn’t do it!

    We now only have restricted view seating available at a 10% reduction on the original ticket price. Now just £33.75 per person including 3 course dinner and entertainment.

    Celebrating 80 years of seaside glamour

    Friday 12th to Sunday 14th July 2013

    2013 sees The Midland celebrate its 80th anniversary, having first opened its doors in July 1933. Be part of our 80th anniversary celebrations from the 12th to the 14th July.

    On Friday 12th July (80 years to the day since the hotel opened) we will host a black tie gala dinner in the Eric Gill Suite. Enjoy a 4 course dinner based on the first ever menu served at The Midland in 1933. Entertainment will be courtesy of magician David Lancaster and band The Paul Hayes Collection.

    Tickets are priced at £40.00 per head and include a glass of bubbly on arrival, 4 course dinner and entertainment.

    Our friends at Laurent Perrier will sponsor a celebratory Champagne Afternoon Tea on Saturday 13th July with charity raffle, compered by Cash In the Attic's very own Paul Hayes. All proceeds will be donated to St. John's Hospice.

    Tickets for this special Afternoon Tea are priced at £22.50 per person and include a glass of chilled Laurent Perrier Champagne, full Afternoon Tea and souvenir menu to commemorate our 80th.

    Sunday 14th July is our Family Fun Day with vintage fair in our function suites, entertainment in the Rotunda Bar, 1950s ice cream van, face painting, donkey rides and Charleston dancing. Admission to this fun-packed event is free but please be aware that pre booking is essential for lunch or Afternoon Tea in our Sun Terrace Restaurant.

    There’s been a made to measure murder in menswear and it’s up to you to get your pants on and solve this mystery. Has someone been tampering with Mr Humphries trousers? Is Mrs Slocombe's pussy relevant to the crime? Will the killer be free or will you crack the case...and all do very well?

    The Wild Boar is working with smoking experts Smoky Jo’s to provide one day courses

    Those taking part in the courses will get the chance to smoke a range of different foods such as chicken, salmon, sausages and cheeses. As well as using the Inns own purpose built smokehouse the Smoky Jo’s team will show how tremendous results can be achieved at home – on a stove, converted bbq, wardrobe or filing cabinet!
