    To enable us to meet and enhance the needs of our customers we are seeking to recruit a :-

    NIGHT PORTER (40 hours per week) 11pm - 7am, working 5 days out of 7 on a rota basis. This position will include weekend working.

    Your aim will be to surpass our guests expectations by understanding their individual needs.

    You will be responsible (along with a Duty Manager) for the security of our hotel over night.

    Some of your other duties will be\;
    checking some guests in/out (late arrivals/early departures)

    Setting up/taking down events and function rooms.

    Attending to residents requirements e.g. room service,residents bar services and general presentation of public areas, lounge,bar, reception etc.,

    Previous night time working or security experience will be an advantage although training will be given.

    Rate of pay and our full benefits package, including leisure club menbership, meals being provided whilst on duty,staff discounts and lots more, will be discussed at interview.

    The role involves the setting up / refreshment of conference rooms, carrying luggage to guest bedrooms, providing local information to guests, for example bus times and local attractions.

    The ideal candidate should possess a high level of customer service skills and be methodical and committed to their work.

    Due to the nature of the role you must be flexible with your working week, which will include working weekends when the business demands.

    Sales Co-ordinator (Full or Part Time)

    As a 'hands on' person you will be part of a small, highly motivated team based on the site of Low Wood Bay, Windermere, who deal with enquiries, maximise sales, meet clients and ensure the smooth running of events.

    Your main responsibilities will be to :-

    - Deal with enquiries for functions and conferences
    - Maximise revenue by converting enquiries into bookings
    - Produce professional, tailor-made programmes and quotations for all events.
    - liaise with hotels' departments relating to events being held.
    - Show prospective clients around the relevant hotel and discuss the requirements.
    - Co-ordinate the functions from start to finish, ensuringthe operational departments have all of the relevant information to deliver a high standard of products and services.
    - Undertake follow up/coutesy calls.

    You will be friendly and outgoing, have an immaculate eye for detail, and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will possess a desire to be part of a winning team and get a real buzz out of looking after our customers.

    It is important that you can portray an influential, enthusiastic communication style and Micros Fidelio experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
