2 night Weekend added onto our Traditional New Year Package
Make the most of your New Year celebration break. Why not arrive Saturday 28th December 2013 and include the Weekend for only £85.00 per adults per night on Bed and Breakfast with Dinner on the first night in our Windermere Restaurant inclusive of ½ bottle house wine, plus a welcome bottle of House Champagne in your room on arrival.
Traditional 3 Night New Year Package
30th December
On arrival you will be escorted to your rooms and once settled, afternoon tea is then served in the comfort of our lounges with roaring open fires roaring and breathtaking Lakeland views.
Enjoy a pre-dinner glass of Champagne in the Langdale Lounge and Bar, before enjoying dinner this evening at your leisure in the Windermere Restaurant, surrounded by the contrast of vibrant artwork of Viennese painter Gustav Klimt and traditional English oak wall panelling, not to mention its stunning outlook across Lake Windermere and striking mountain ranges in the distance.
After dinner, it is games night with our Casino and Horse Racing event in the Gallery Lounge, a great, get to know you ice breaker for all concerned, plus some prizes for all the family.
New Year’s Eve
Start the day in true Cumbrian tradition, with a hearty Lakeland breakfast. Today enjoy the stunning and breath taking scenery of the glorious English Lakeland countryside by enjoying the rest of the day exploring the area after enjoying a light buffet luncheon at noon in the Windermere Restaurant.
Relax this afternoon or take a brisk walk over to the Marina Lawn and take part in our award winning Black Pudding hurling competition before returning to the lounge for traditional afternoon tea.
At 7pm Champagne is flowing prior to our New Year Hogmanay Gala Dinner which will be announced by our resident bagpipers at 7.45pm. The doors to our Lake Suite will be pushed open and all will be seated for the forthcoming Hogmanay celebration, which includes our New Year Dinner menu and disco. Pipers will be sounding to signify midnight and the arrival of 2014, which is welcomed in with our private fireworks display across the lake frontage.
Dress code for this evening is black tie and table configurations are large tables of 10 all adding to the house party atmosphere.
New Year’s Day – 1st January 2014
Enjoy a late Lakeland breakfast in the Windermere Restaurant served until 12 noon and then relax as today is yours to explore the delights that this area has to offer. We have organised for a Private charter on Lake Windermere making the best of the sights and sounds of the longest lake in Britain, a fabulous way to start your 2014.
Relax the rest of the day, prior to enjoying dinner this evening at your leisure in the Windermere Restaurant where we are serving a full à la carte menu through to 9.30pm.
2nd January 2014
Departure day is upon us; once you have enjoyed breakfast the team will assist you with your luggage and bid you farewell and a safe journey.
