Getting married at the Midland Hotel is like a modern day fairytale come true. The hotel is a perfect example of modern day glamour combined with the classic art deco style. Modelled on the best continental hotels of the day, it is a modernist vision of marble, mosaics and beautifully curved shapes. Designed by Oliver Hill and with interior decoration by Eric Gill, The Midland is utterly unique and, now beautifully restored, it is once again a jewel in the crown of the British coast.
This lovingly restored building has a contemporary edge on furnishings and décor: beautiful entrance hall, sweeping staircase, stunning suites and rooms.

The Oliver Hill Suite
Named after the architect Oliver Hill, this suite is a bright, romantic setting for your civil ceremony, the suite can accommodate up to 80 seated guests.
The Sun Terrace
After the ceremony, move into the Sun Terrace for congratulatory drinks and photos. Our stunning new glass and steel covered terrace faces the sea and opens onto the hotel’s lawn – a perfect photo opportunity inside and out, whatever the weather.
The Eric Gill Suite
Named after Eric Gill, the artist behind so much of the hotel’s original décor, the Eric Gill Suite adjoins the Sun Terrace and is the setting for your Wedding Breakfast, with stunning views over Morecambe Bay. This room can accommodate 140 seated guests for your civil ceremony, and 136 guests for your wedding breakfast when combined with our Sun Terrace. With partition divides rolled back, your combined Oliver Hill and Eric Gill space caters for 150 guests at your evening reception, with plenty of space to relax and spread out and a dedicated private bar for you and your guests.
