Andy Hallewell, one of our newest Low Wood Bay fitness instructors is settling in well and tells us about his favourite classes and his passion to encourage others to meet their fitness goals.
Mind and Body
I’ve worked in the fitness industry for a number of years and still get excited and motivated by exercise and trying new and different techniques. I love to see people enjoying their training, getting results and making progress. Exercise is as important for the mind as it is for the body and it’s also pretty good that I get to train and talk about exercise all day too!
Spin Gets My Heart Pumping
My favourite class by far is spin because nothing gets my heart sky high and a good sweat on like a heart-pumping spin class. Besides training in the gym, I love cycling in my spare time and love the physical challenge of steep hills. Living in the Lake District I’ve done my fair share of hill climbs and I’m looking forward to participating in the Fred Whitton Challenge later this year.
More Than a Health Club
I love that the Low Wood is more than just a health club. With over 40 great indoor and outdoor classes each week, healthy food and drinks on offer at Normans, a vibrant family atmosphere and a great fitness community you can enjoy far more than just a trip to the gym.
My passion in life is to encourage people to love their training and get the results they hope for. Observing the transformation that it can make in a person’s life is what motivates me every day.
