Relaxing Experiences

Thermal Journey - onsite

The Spa at Low Wood Bay is a unique setting for colleagues or friends to relax and revive. We offer 5  thermal experiences: breathe in the Dry Salt, Coconut Steam or Herbal Infusions, Refresh with Warm Rain, Cool Mist, and Relax yourself in gentle Thermal Currents. Step outside and Experience our Fellside Outdoor Pool, Outside Sauna, Hot Tubs and Fire Pit.  

Enjoy a 3 hour Thermal Journey for £50 per person. Max group number for this experience is 12. You can gain exclusive use for groups of 12 or more – please contact us for rates.


Lost in the Lakes Spa Day - onsite

Choose from a distinctive Head to Toe Massage, Himalayan Salt Body Scrub or Total Face treatment. Included in your day is a Thermal Journey where you can take a dip in the Fellside Infinity Pool or lie back and absorb the warmth in the Herbal Lounge. All that relaxing is sure to build your appetite for afternoon tea or a two course lunch. Perfect ingredients for a revitalising day.

Private Lake Cruise - onsite

Charter a traditional Lakeland "Steamer" and cruise around Lake Windermere’s islands in style. Party on-board with the awe-inspiring Langdale valley as your backdrop. Steamers depart from the hotels’ garden and private jetty.

Add on: Cocktail and Lakeside BBQ

Gather on our garden then step aboard a traditional Lakeland “Steamer” to celebrate in style. Choose your cocktail then cruise and party, or simply enjoy the magnificent views.  Return to the lawn for your lakeside BBQ with gourmet food and a setting sun.

Adventure Experiences

Nordic Walking - onsite

Nordic Walking can activate up to 90% if the body’s muscles and burn up to 46% more calories than regular walking. This unique exercise is a great way to explore the Lake District Fells. This is a fully instructed activity which uses Nordic Walking Poles to propel you forward and enhance the normal walking experience.


Paddle board Safari - onsite

Paddle boarding has become a popular water activity around the world, grab your board and explore the tranquil waters of Lake Windermere with a qualified instructor. Full instruction and equipment provided. Visit Low Wood Bay Watersports for more activities and information on booking.

Windermere Golf Club – Bowness

- 7.6 miles (20 minutes)

Windermere Golf Club offers a superb short course overlooking stunning Lake District scenery. The beautiful greens are perfect for beginners and experienced golfers alike.

Treetop Trek – Brockhole

- 1 miles (2 minutes)

There’s nothing like swinging and zip lining through the trees to bring your team together. Treetop Trek is a series of high rope challenges which encourage your team to overcome obstacles, problem solve and support each other.

Dragon Boat Festival - onsite

A traditional event in Asia and growing in popularity in the UK, this event provides an exhilarating opportunity to race against each other. Teams will be put to the test as you work together to row in time to the drum. This activity is a favourite among our health club members. Minimum group size is 20.

Predator Experience 

- 14 miles (30 minute drive)

Join a wolf hybrid pack, on a magical journey through the woods. Be part of the pack. Learn the intricacy of social ranking and the subtle art of canine communication. If you’re lucky you’ll hear them howl! Book your experience here.

Hawk walks/falconry tuition/eagle experiences. Get up close and personal with some of the animal kingdom’s fiercest hunters. Learn all about the ins and outs of falconry; observe hawks glide through the trees and land gently onto your gloved arm; experience the freedom of the Lakeland Fells as you meet the king of the skies: the Golden Eagle.


Survival Experiences

GPS Urban Adventure Orienteering – SEE EVENTS

A map, a set of clues and a GPS; grab your team for this high-tech treasure hunt. Complete the course and challenges to locate the check points in a race against time. Bush Craft Village

Fresh air, fire and healthy competition make up ‘Bush Craft Village’. Your group will be split into teams where you will compete to be the first civilisation to set up a sustainable village. You will need to work together to build shelters, light a fire using friction, make bush darts, master traditional tools and cook fish on an open fire. Lakeland Adventure Challenge

“I’m in the Lake District Get Me out Of Here!” - SEE EVENTS

This is the ultimate adventure experience that plays on the well-known reality show ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’. Groups will work together to complete a set of challenges which will include survival skills, navigation challenges, food ‘delicacy’ tasks as well as insect and animal handling. The well-being experiences are an introduction to mindfulness, personal well-being and how creating an open work culture can promote a healthy lifestyle. This experiences helps shift mindsets and build on small action points to help people feel good about themselves and others. Well-being initiatives are uniquely worked into adventure experiences including orienteering, canoeing and mindful walking. Prepare for your team to feel rejuvenated and strengthened.

Lakeland Eco Challenge

Help preserve the Lake District’s landscape with this innovative experience. Over two days your team will help to carry out essential repair work to rebuild and maintain the most badly eroded footpaths in the Lakes as well as participate in activities such as fell walking.
