English Lakes no longer own or manage The Waterhead Hotel, near Ambleside. The hotel was sold to The Inn Collection group in the early 2020's and remains in their ownership.
English Lakes successfully managed the Waterhead for over 45 years, having acquired the hotel in 1975. Former guests at The Waterhead can still enjoy a stay at an English Lakes hotel. We have properties in both the Lake District and north Lancashire and will be happy to welcome old guests back to experience 'English Lakes' hospitality.
