Lancaster House Hotel has struck up a new business partnership with a social enterprise which helps people who are homeless get back into employment.
The hotel’s new range of delicious shortbread biscuits is supplied by specialist bakery Half the Story. The biscuit manufacturer also creates supportive job roles for those who are trying to make a new start after experiencing homelessness.
By providing employment, Half the Story helps its employees to earn a wage, develop their skills, build a career path and find somewhere to live.
The partnership came about after executive chairman of English Lakes Hotels Simon Berry and managing director of Half the Story Matt Parfitt met at an entrepreneurship conference where they were both speaking about how business can be a force for good in their respective communities.
Situated close to both the Lancaster University campus and just a short distance to the city centre Lancaster House Hotel with it's host of luxury amenities provides the perfect place to explore the city of Lancaster and the surrounding area.
