Get on your bikes and take this cycle route out of the centre of historic Lancaster. You can pedal off to the open spaces of Morecambe’s seafront and back via tranquil rural canal towpaths.
This is a super bike ride for all the family. It’s pretty flat throughout and mainly on cycle tracks to avoid any traffic. The starting point for many is Lancaster’s Millennium Bridge. But you can get in gear from wherever you wish on the route. Or why not branch off and explore the many connections to other cycle trails in Lancaster and along the Lune Valley Greenway?
Start at the Millennium Bridge and cross over to the north side, bear left on the Lancaster–Morecambe Greenway, parallel to the river.
