Our unique Lake District Afternoon Tea is proudly served in the Grill & Smokehouse restaurant at the Wild Boar Estate. Expect plush armchairs and traditional beams, with all the rustic charm you'd expect from a traditional country hotel.
Can I upgrade my Alternative Afternoon Tea?
You won't be disappointed with the treats on your table or in your picnic hamper, but we also know that sometimes, you fancy a little bit more. It's easy to add extras to your Afternoon Tea. Additional courses are charged on an individual basis, and it only costs £5.50 to upgrade your Prosecco to a glass of Laurent Perrier Brut. There's never been a better time to say cheers!

The opening hours for your Alternative Afternoon Tea are as follows:
Mon – Fri: 12pm – 3.15pm
Sat – Sun: 12pm – 3.30pm
What does an Alternative Afternoon Tea Picnic include?
The Alternative Afternoon Tea Picnic is priced as per the Alternative Afternoon Tea.
Each Alternative Afternoon Tea Picnic includes the full Alternative Afternoon Tea, plus one drink per person. Replacing the draught beer, you may choose between one of the following:
· A bottle of our home-brewed ales or lager, or
· A mini bottle of Prosecco or bottled soft drink.
How do I book an Alternative Afternoon Tea picnic?
The process is simple: all you need to do is book a table as normal and leave a note, then we'll handle the rest. Instead of the three-tier wooden stand, your picnic will be prepared and packed into a wicker basket with all the same produce.
How close is the Wild Boar Estate to The Spa?
Planning to visit The Spa at Low Wood Bay? Luckily, our finest Lake District venues are just a 15-minute drive apart. We're pleased to make your stay as streamlined as possible, and we know you'll be in a hurry to get that robe on!

Can I have an Alternative Afternoon Tea during a Spa Break?
If you've booked a Spa Break at the Wild Boar Estate, we're delighted to include our delicious Breakfast in your booking.
But while our Alternative Afternoon Tea is not currently available as part of this package, you'll be more than welcome to book separately during your stay with us.
