Your room will be ready from 3pm and, once settled in, our management team welcome you to our New Year celebrations with our famous Wild Boar Festive Alternative Afternoon Tea and a warming glass of mulled wine.
Tonight, we will be serving a very special Cumbrian Festive Hog Roast and Ale buffet, showcasing some of the very best ingredients from both our favourite Lakeland suppliers and our own on-site Smokehouse and microbrewery.
We then give you the chance to become a Wild Boar Estate ‘Highflyer’ as we host our annual Casino Night. We will even provide you with a generous amount of Wild Boar Estate currency to begin a night of blackjack and roulette with prizes awarded for the highest earners!
A hearty breakfast is the perfect start to the last day of 2026. Following this, we have arranged for a morning of clay pigeon shooting, together with our resident Harris Hawks from our friends at Lake District Falconry, all set within the scenery of our 72 acres of woodlands. Shooting is suitable for all, whether you are a beginner or an expert, you’ll have the guidance of our resident sharpshooter.
Following a light lunch in anticipation of the festivities ahead and then join us in the restaurant for the return of our popular Champagne tasting, courtesy of family-owned Champagne house Laurent Perrier. It is the perfect way to spend an afternoon and perhaps decide which bottle is your party’s preference to help welcome in 2027 later in the evening!
New Year’s Eve celebrations begin with a Champagne and canapé reception, followed by a traditional black-tie 7 course gala dinner, lovingly prepared by our brigade of chefs who have been working throughout the day to ensure your last meal of 2026 is one to remember!
Our resident DJ will then get the party in full swing. Count down the last moments of 2026 and welcome 2027 in style to chimes of Big Ben and the sound of popping corks and Auld Lang Syne!
Enjoy a traditional Lakeland breakfast before we bid you a fond farewell, sending you on your way with our very best wishes for the year ahead.
If you would like to have a lie in and extend your New Year stay, we have arranged preferential rates for this night so please do not hesitate to speak to us!
Our 2-night package commencing on 30th December 2026 includes all meals and entertainment as detailed and costs from £715.00 per person in our Squirrel's Drey room. A £100.00 per person non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your reservation.
Single Occupancy Supplement £200.00 per room per night.
£40.00 per person per night in a Fox's Den room.
£55.00 per person per night in an Owl's Nest room.
This is an adults only rate.
Dogs are welcome. Please note higher charges apply during the package, £35.00 per dog per night, with maximum of two dogs per room occupied.
