It all started in 1952 with the purchase of Low Wood Bay. Today, we have a group of five 4 star Hotels in Cumbria and Lancashire. It’s a family run business with over 60 years in the industry.

Culinary Academy Apprenticeships

The English Lakes Culinary Academy is a new, annual, fully accredited two year apprenticeship programme for 16+ school leavers aspiring to train as a chef.
From day one, successful applicants will be employed by English Lakes at one of our Cumbria or Lancashire hotels and have the opportunity to work alongside our head chefs and train with the Michelin starred, Steven Doherty. English Lakes are also a proud ambassador for Aroma Catering.
