Additional 1 Day Holiday

For each additional year worked we will add an additional day to your annual holiday entitlement for you to enjoy (up to a maximum of 5 years service).

 

Employee Exclusive Flash Sales

Twice yearly English Lakes will hold a 48 hour flash sale, available exclusively to our employees. These flash sales will allow our team members purchase stays, thermal journey at very low rates.

 

Annual Service Awards Lunches

We like to acknowledge the hard work of all our employees. Every year you will be invited to a Service Awards lunch. This is a beautiful three course lunch in one of our 4* hotels.

It’s an occasion that the Directors of the company always attend and it’s their way of saying ‘thank you’ for your service over the previous 12 months.

 

English Lakes Gift Vouchers

During the course of each annual awards lunch Ben Berry, Managing Director, will present those attending with English Lakes Gift Vouchers. The vouchers may be spent at any of the hotels, restaurants or other facilities around the hotels and resort whether that be a watersport activity, hotel stay or spa treatment.

 

Complimentary Stay Voucher

It’s not every day that we get treated to an overnight stay in a 4* hotel. That’s precisely what you will enjoy, each year. To mark the anniversary of your employment with English Lakes Hotels we will provide you with a complimentary B&B hotel stay voucher (to use at any of the hotels within the English Lakes family). It is great to be on the receiving end of our remarkable hospitality.

 

Complimentary Spa Voucher

We would like all our employees to experience the fantastic facilities enjoyed by our guests at The Spa at Low Wood Bay. In addition to your hotel stay voucher, each year, we will gift you a voucher to use at The Spa at Low Wood Bay for you plus one other to enjoy as our guest.

 

6 Week Review Complimentary Stay 

After the completion of your initial 6 week review we would like you to experience a hotel stay at the hotel where you work, as our guest. We place great importance on the quality of stay afforded to all our guests.


As team members we are all involved in the delivery of the guest experience. As new members to the English Lakes team we would like you to share in this experience and realise the importance of our guests to English Lakes.

 

English Lakes Blue Card Discounts

Employees of English Lakes can enjoy generous discounts of up to 50%, on the presentation of their employee 'blue card'. Discounts are available against hotel stays, services, activities as well as food & beverage. So whether you want to take a dip in the lake at The Watersports Centre or soak in the views from The Spa or simply take a soak in one of our gorgeous hotel room baths the choice is yours.

 

 

The Personal Development Fund

In addition to your professional development we would also like to see our team members grow, both individually and also in their world view. We would like to support our team members in this and would be willing to help fund their personal development through application to our Personal Development Fund. Interested team members who have worked for English Lakes for more than 1 year should speak to their line manager or HR manager to ask to be put forward for consideration with help from the fund.

 

Free Health Club Membership

One of the benefits that our team absolutely love is free membership to the Sandpiper Club at Lancaster House. The club is equipped with swimming pool, top of the range gym, Jacuzzi, steam rooms and saunas. So, whether you are a fitness junkie, or prefer just to lounge by the pool the choice is yours.

 

Free Parking 

You will never be asked to pay for car parking and we provide car parking space at the hotels if you are travelling by car. When appropriate, we encourage employees to car share, spreading the cost of transport, and reducing our carbon footprint.

Professional Training & Development

English Lakes is committed to providing our guests with the best possible hospitality experience. That's why we prioritise training and development for our team members. Starting with our Expectations training course, we ensure that every new employee is properly welcomed into the company.


Thereafter we will work with you to ensure you have the correct on-the-job training as well as supporting you through National Vocational qualifications in relevant subjects. We have a wide range of training opportunities including in-house skills and customer care training. Initiatives, such as The Culinary Academy, sees us work alongside local colleges and training providers to offer our employees accredited training in many aspects of hospitality and management.
