Here we talk to their marketing team about the photoshoot and how Low Wood Bay’s culture and surroundings informed their strategy.

Tell us a little bit more about the Scabal brand.

Scabal is a British fabric house driven by a passion for exceptional cloth. For more than 85 years, we have been developing and weaving some of the world's finest fabrics, supplying master tailors and creating ready-to-wear/made-to-measure collections that combine British tailoring with generations of textile expertise.

The Lake District is one of the most beautiful places in the world. What inspires you and your team about the area and what makes it a good place to shoot.

The Lake District never looks the same twice and it lies? [lives?] in its authenticity. Within a few hours the light changes, the colours shift and the landscape reveals something new. As designers, that's incredibly inspiring because fabric behaves in much the same way. Texture, depth and colour come alive depending on the light. It felt like the right place to present the collection.

Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa shares with Scabal an appreciation for British heritage, craftsmanship and creating meaningful experiences. There is an authenticity to the hotel, a strong sense of place and a genuine attention to detail that resonated with the story we wanted to tell to build on Scabal's heritage as a premier fabric house.

And then there were the unexpected moments: rabbits casually photobombing the shoot, or stumbling across a hidden waterfall between locations! Those are the details you can't plan, and often the ones you remember most.

Autumn Winter 2026 continues to build on our tailoring heritage with softer constructions, new jacket styles and a broader lifestyle offer. Alongside eight fabric collections, including four new developments, the season embraces a more versatile approach to dressing while staying true to the craftsmanship and quality that define Scabal.

Is there a particular item in the collection that you want to highlight?

The jackets, without hesitation. As a fabric house, jackets give us the greatest opportunity to showcase texture, colour and construction. This season, new silhouettes combined with the Mistral and Cascade qualities bring a softer, more contemporary approach to tailoring while remaining unmistakably Scabal.

Was the Low Wood Bay team accommodating on the day during the photoshoot?

Absolutely. Everyone was helpful, approachable and understood what a production day involves. A special mention to Lauren, who was a great support throughout the shoot. Even the guests were curious to see what we were creating, which added to the experience.

There wasn’t anything more the team could have done to make the photoshoot run more smoothly: they were well prepared, flexible and always available when we needed them.
