The Wild Boar, near Windermere is located in the Gilpin valley, one of the most picturesque locations in the the Lake District. The Wild Boar's 70 acres of private ancient woods providing the perfect backdrop for our 'Hawk Walk' Falconry Experience.

Under the close supervision of Mike Coates, our dedicated Clay Pigeon Shooting instructor. You will get the chance of shooting at clay's that simulate the flight of a number of different wild birds, including; pheasant, crow, grouse and perhaps even a bolting rabbit!

During an archery session participants will have the opportunity to try a variety of archery disciplines. These disciplines will progress in difficulty as participants develop their archery skills. Disciplines will include: Straw Target Practice, Field Archery and Moving Target Archery.

Under the watchful supervision of Mike Coates participants will be tutored in the skillful techniques required to throw a variety of axes at wooden targets. This activity is open to all but is great for groups of friends or small parties as you vie with one another to be the first to hit the bullseye mark.

As a ‘Wild’ experience this has got to be one of the best. Combine Falconry, the ancient Sport of Kings, with the hugely popular Wild Boar Afternoon Tea, al fresco style.
