Heritage boat trips on lake Windermere aboard our launch, 'Winander'

Winander our traditional wooden launch that has been beautifully restored to all its original 1929 glory and offers the opportunity to sail on England's longest lake directly from Low Wood Bay's private jetty. At the weekend it will be sailing exclusively for our resort guests so you can enjoy the serenity and stunning views as you take a step back in time.

Will my cruise be cancelled in bad weather?

We will endeavour to provide cruises at the advertised day and time. The Winander provides a covered cabin with limited seating so please come prepared should there be no seats under cover available. In the event of particularly bad weather we reserve the right to cancel a cruise.

Where at Low Wood Bay will we meet?

Cruises will depart the canon jetty by the hotel lawns. Boarding times are provided with the cruise details.

How do I book a cruise?

Cruises can be booked online on our secure online booking platform using the link in your prestay email or by calling our central reservations team. Are dogs allowed aboard Winander?

We're very sorry but dogs are not allowed on board the boat, except guide dogs.
