The Bridal Suite
We’ve created a spacious Bridal Suite at The Wild Boar. By day, just right for brides getting ready, a glass of bubbly with bridesmaids, hair and beauty, precious moments with loved ones.
By night, the most comfortable couples retreat to reflect on a day of celebrations … and breathe, it was the perfect day!
Wedding Breakfasts & Evening Buffets
The Wild Boar Grill & Smokehouse Restaurant is known for great food and a cosy atmosphere. We can comfortably accommodate between 70* - 90 wedding guests for your wedding breakfast, and between 70* - 130 wedding guests for your evening buffet.
We offer a great choice from our á la carte Grill & Smokehouse menu for your wedding breakfast. Most couples choose up to three starters, three mains and three desserts – making your guests quite literally spoilt for choice.
For your evening function we can arrange anything from a finger buffet to fish and chips or a hog roast. We are also more than happy to discuss any of your dining ideas and help make your wedding meals as individual as you are.
* We can on occasion, offer availability under these minimums, but exclusive use of the restaurant may not be guaranteed.
Large Weddings
If you are looking for a beautiful rustic style wedding venue with all the comforts and interior of a cosy inn with oak beams, log fires and an informal vibe, The Wild Boar, near Windermere, will make you and your guests feel totally relaxed and ‘at home’.
Full exclusive use of the entire venue, including accommodation, from £12,982 (based on 70 adult guests). *For Weddings held on a Saturday or Sunday, 20 bedrooms must also be taken the night prior to the wedding.

Small, Intimate Weddings
The Undermillbeck is ideal for those looking for a wedding venue in the Lake District for a small, intimate style wedding. The Undermillbeck can be used for both your wedding ceremony as well as hosting your wedding breakfast and post wedding celebrations.
Wedding Photography
For an alternative backdrop to traditional wedding photography, couples are free to take advantage of the adjacent 72 acres of private woodland which is also open to guests. You can opt for a wild ride in our 4 x 4 Mad Pig Landrover to take you on an adventure up to the tarn. The Wild Boar is also just a short drive from lake Windermere affording memorable lake district vistas.
