The ancient woodland at The Wild Boar creates the perfect backdrop for guests and visitors to try their hand at the lumberjack inspired sport of axe throwing.
Axes & Targets at The Wild Boar
Axe throwing at The Wild Boar
Set within the ancient woodland of The Wild Boar, near Windermere, guests and visitors can try their hand at axe throwing. Under the watchful supervision of Mike Coates participants will be tutored in the skilful techniques required to throw a variety of axes at wooden targets. This activity is open to all but is great for groups of friends or small parties as you vie with one another to be the first to hit the bullseye mark.
The Wild Boar
The Wild Boar is located close to Bowness-on-Windermere, in the south of the Lake District. Situated next to the B5284, part way between Windermere Gold Club and the small Lake District hamlet of Crook. The hotel has parking to the rear, next to the hotel's own private ancient woodland.
