The Wild Boar, near Windermere is located in the Gilpin valley, one of the most picturesque locations in the the Lake District. The Wild Boar's 70 acres of private ancient woods providing the perfect backdrop for our 'Hawk Walk' Falconry Experience.

The Wild Boar's 'Hawk Walk'

Join our falconer for an amazing 'Hawk Walk'. A woodland walk through The Wild Boar's woods with a hawk flying through the trees alongside you.

You'll have the opportunity to 'get up-close' and personal with our beautiful birds by becoming the falconer yourself. Calling the bird to land on your gloved fist you'll experience first hand the special bond between man and bird.

A Falconry Experience at The Wild Boar is perfect for both young* and old alike. We're sure you'll create some memorable moments. Memories that you can cherish, a long time after your visit to the Lake District and The Wild Boar.

*Please Note that the minimum age is 7 years old.

The Wild Boar

The Wild Boar is located close to Bowness-on-Windermere, in the south of the Lake District. Situated next to the B5284, part way between Windermere Gold Club and the small Lake District hamlet of Crook. The hotel has parking to the rear, next to the hotel's own private ancient woodland.

Falconry Experience Pricing

If you would like to take part in a Hawk Walk Falconry Experience at The Wild Boar then the prices are as follows:

Resident price is £50.00 per person.

Non Resident price is £85.00 per person (price includes a £25 voucher to use at any English Lakes venue).

Children are priced at £25.00 per child when accompanied by 2 or more paying adults. (*Please Note that the minimum age is 7 years old.)
