Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa FAQ's

Check availability

Here are some of the most frequently ask questions we get at the resort for both overnight stays and spa day experiences.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What time is check in and check out for my stay?

A. You can check in any time after 3pm on the first day of your stay and check out up until 11am on the day of your departure. Guests staying in our Winander Club enjoy a slightly later check out of 12 noon on the day of their departure.

Q. Is there free parking available at the hotel?

Yes, we have free onsite private parking facilities. However, it’s important to book direct with us or through our reservations phone line as third-party bookings with sites such as booking.com, hotels.com and Trivago come with parking fees of £12 per day.

Q. Does the restaurant offer meal options for vegans and vegetarians?

Yes, both The Windermere Restaurant (The W) and The Blue Smoke restaurants feature menus which are regularly updated and always include a selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Q.  Are The Spa facilities included in my booking?

Access to The Spa facilities are only included in Spa Break Package bookings. All other bookings (B&B, Dinner B&B, all other special offers (unless otherwise stated)) don't get access to the spa as standard, but it can be added as a paid extra (subject to availability).

Q. What leisure facilities do I get access to with an overnight stay?

All guests staying with us get access to our fitness and leisure facilities which include our fitness room and main indoor swimming pool. Please see our Terms & Conditions page for upto date details on access times for the swimming pool and fitness facilities.

Access to the fitness facilities does not include access to other spa facilities unless pre-booked.

Q. Do I need to pre-book spa/restaurant/watersports?

Yes, we always highly recommend pre-booking any additional service (even when it is included in your package) as soon as possible. If dinner or spa is included in your package, we will always make sure you get a reservation, but without a booking it may not be at your most ideal time. For bookings that don't include dinner or spa (e.g bed and breakfast rates) we cannot guarantee we will have availability in the restaurants or spa without a prior booking, but we will try our best to serve you where possible.

Q. I'd like to add spa access onto my booking, how can I do this?

If you'd just like to enjoy our spa Thermal Spaces while you're with us, you'll need to book a 3 Hour Thermal Journey. Due to this only being available to overnight guests, we can only add this to your booking over the phone and you can call us on 015394 39303 to check availability and book.

If you'd like to add any treatments, or spa days with treatments, you can book this online by visiting our Spa Day's page.

Q. Is the Winander Club a different hotel?

A. No, Winander Club is still very much part of Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa. Winander Club houses our most luxurious rooms with some exclusive features to guests staying in the club.

Q. Do your venues include wheelchair access and disabled facilities?

Low Wood Bay Resort & Spa has ground-floor accessible rooms and lifts to all floors.

Q. Are you dog friendly?

Yes, we love dogs at the resort. The only places we don't allow dogs are; Winander Club, both hotel restaurants and Spa facilities. Please see our terms and conditions for prices and number of dogs allowed.

Q. Do you offer laundry services on site and if so, how do I arrange it?

Yes, laundry and dry-cleaning services are available Monday to Friday. We are unable to offer this service at weekends. Laundry must be left with reception by 8am and will be delivered to your room by 2.30pm the following day.
