Sailing on Windermere
If you can sail you know the joy, if you can’t then why not learn. Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre offers both sailing instruction and a range of sailing boats for hire.
Sailing Boat Hire
Keelboat Hire
The Varianta 18. This is a sporty 18 foot daysailer built by well-known German boat builder Hanse. It has a large cockpit with all sheets and control lines within easy reach of the crew. It also has a small cabin for storage of kit (and adults or children if necessary!) She is licensed to carry 5 persons. With a swept rig and fully battoned sail she is exciting to sail in any breeze.

In order to hire any of our keelboats you need to be able to sail to the standard of the RYA National Sailing Scheme Level 2..
Prices include buoyancy aids and fuel. Minimum age to hire the boat is 18 years old and you must be at least 16 years old to handle the boat under power.
Laser Bahia Sailing Dinghy Hire
The Laser Bahia is a fun and easy boat to sail. It is a 15 foot double-handed simple dinghy with an aluminium mast and boom. This boat is ideal as a trainer boat for beginner and intermediate sailors.

Laser Pico Sailing Dinghy Hire
The Laser Pico is a fun small dinghy, ideal for single-handed sailing or for a parent and child.
