Q. What time is check in and check out for my stay?

A. You can check in any time after 3pm on the first day of your stay and check out up until 11am on the day of your departure.

Q. Is there free parking available at the hotel?

A. Yes, all of our venues have free, private parking facilities. It’s important to book directly with us via englishlakes.co.uk or our reservations phone line though, as third party booking sites such as booking.com, hotels.com and Trivago all implement parking fees of around £12 per day at all hotels.

Q. What is the venue's address and how do I find you?

Q. Does the restaurant offer meal options for vegans and vegetarians?

A. Yes. All of our restaurants feature menus which are regularly refreshed and updated and always include a selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes.

Q. Are you dog/pet friendly?

A. Yes, we welcome dogs and dog lovers here at The Wild Boar. We don't accept bookings for dogs in our luxury rooms (from1st May 2024 onwards) and we don't allow dogs in the main Grill & Smokehouse Restaurant, however you can eat with your dog in our bar area. Dogs do carry a £30 per night (maximum 2 dogs per room) surcharge if your are staying with us overnight. 

Q. Do your venues include wheelchair access and disabled facilities?

A. Yes. The Wild Boar Inn has a small number of rooms which are wheelchair accessible.

Q. Does the Wild Boar Inn have business and conferencing facilities?

A. We can host board and executive level meetings and smaller scale conferences for up to 20 delegates in the Undermillbeck room at the Inn. Find out more here.

Q. What facilities do I get access to with an overnight stay?

A. All guests staying with us get access to the 72 acres of private rural woodlands including a tarn and walking trails to explore.

Q. What local attractions are there nearby to the venue?

A. Both Windermere and Ambleside are within easy driving distance but most guests want to stay on site and immerse themselves in the peace and tranquillity of the Wild Boar’s rural setting. There are woodland trails to enjoy and activities you can book, including falconry, archery and clay pigeon shooting.
