Our family friendly approach is personified by our very own children’s club. Sam’s Club has been specially designed to keep children aged 2 to 15 years old entertained for their whole holiday.
Sam is the hotel group’s mascot, a cuddly dog who is the focal point of entertainment for children staying with us.
And to welcome you all for your stay with us, when you arrive each child gets their own Sam’s Club 'goody bag', neatly arranged and placed the bed after you’ve checked in.
Children can also take part in a host of fun activities put on in and around our hotels throughout the year. Christmas is an especially exciting time for a family hotel stay, and we always have lots of festive fun and games on the go to keep the kids royally entertained.
Hotel room charges for children
All of our Lake District family hotels have child and family friendly rooms to accommodate all age groups. So whatever your requirements, we will go the extra mile to cater for you all.
Infants requiring a cot and sharing a room with two full paying adults are accommodated free of charge for bed and breakfast. And for each child aged 15 and under sharing a room with two full paying adults, there is a cover charge of £25 per night which includes breakfast.
Sam's Club menus
All our family friendly hotel restaurants and bars welcome children and have tailored menus for those up to the age of 12.
Our chefs prepare a wide selection of dishes for children to enjoy. Then there’s the added fun of colouring in the menus during meal times whilst the adults have time to recharge!
Every time you buy a meal from the Sam's Club menu, English Lakes Hotels donates 20p to the Noah Initiative charity in Kenya. These donations are specifically to help provide school lunches for African children.
A Sam's 'Paws for a cordial' bottle can be purchased for £2. Once acquired, children can enjoy free cordial refills at any English Lakes Hotels venue.
High chairs and booster seats are also available for younger children.
